THYREOIDINUM 3x, 6x, 6C, 12C, 30C, 200C, 1M, 10M USES AND SYMPTOMS
THYREOIDINUM
(Dried Thyroid Gland of Sheep)
Thyr.
Affects the body by causing anemia, weight loss, muscle weakness, excessive sweating, headaches, nervous tremors, tingling, and paralysis. It increases heart rate, causes exophthalmos, and dilates pupils. Its impact is notably pronounced in conditions like myxedema and cretinism, as well as rheumatoid arthritis, infantile wasting, rickets, and delayed fracture healing. Administering half a grain twice daily over time is claimed to help with undescended testicles in boys. Thyroid regulates nutrition, growth, and development, and its deficiency leads to cravings for sweets.
It is beneficial for psoriasis, tachycardia, arrested childhood development, and enhances memory. It can treat goitre and obesity, showing better results in lighter-skinned individuals. It addresses amblyopia, mammary tumors, uterine fibroids, weakness, hunger, and nocturnal enuresis. Treatment should start early in pregnancy, with a dose of 1.5 grains 2-3 times daily. For pregnancy-related vomiting, administer in the morning. It helps with breast fibroid tumors using a 2x trituration. Thyr. dilates arterioles, in contrast to Adrenalinum, which constricts them. Symptoms include faintness, nausea, sensitivity to cold, and hypothyroidism post-acute illness, presenting as fatigue, weak pulse, palpitations, cold extremities, low blood pressure, and chilliness (Thyr. 1x, thrice daily). It has a strong diuretic effect in myxedema and various edemas.
Mind: Experiences stupor and restless melancholy; irritable with low tolerance for opposition, prone to anger over minor issues.
Head: Light sensation in the brain; persistent frontal headache.
Eyes: Diminished vision (amblyopia) with central scotoma; prominent eyeballs (exophthalmic goitre).
Mouth: Burning lips; thickly coated tongue; unpleasant taste.
Throat: Dry, congested, burning sensation, worse on the left side.
Stomach: Craving for sweets and cold water; nausea worsens when riding; notable flatulence.
Urinary: Increased urination; polyuria with albumen and sugar; enuresis in nervous, irritable children (½ grain night and morning). Urine has a violet scent, with burning in the urethra and increased uric acid.
Respiratory: Dry cough, painful with difficult expectoration, burning in the pharynx.
Heart: Weak, rapid pulse, with discomfort when lying down; anxiety in the chest; palpitations with minimal exertion; severe heart pain; heart action weak, with numbness in fingers (angina pectoris).
Extremities: Rheumatic arthritis with obesity; coldness and cramps; skin peeling on lower limbs; aching pains; edema in legs; trembling limbs and body.
Skin: Psoriasis related to obesity (not in active stage); dry, undernourished skin; eczema; uterine fibroids; browny swelling; hard, swollen glands; sluggish cases; jaundice with itching; ichthyosis, lupus; itching without rash, worse at night.
Relationship: Compare with Spong., Calc., Fuc., Lycps-v., Iodothyrinum (an isolated active principle from the thyroid, affecting metabolism, possibly causing glycosuria; use cautiously in obesity). Thymus gland extract can also be effective for arthritis deformans and metabolic osteoarthritis. Higher potencies work well for exophthalmic goitre.

selection of the potency
Individualization:
- Homeopathy is based on the principle of treating the individual, not just the disease. The unique symptoms and characteristics of the person are crucial in determining the most suitable potency.
Intensity of Symptoms:
- The intensity of the symptoms guides the choice of potency. If the symptoms are intense and acute, a lower potency (e.g., 6C, 30C) might be considered. For chronic conditions with less intensity, higher potencies (e.g., 200C, 1M) may be appropriate.
Sensitivity of the Patient:
- Some individuals are more sensitive to homeopathic remedies, while others may require higher potencies. The practitioner considers the patient’s sensitivity when selecting the potency.
Acute vs. Chronic Conditions:
- Lower potencies are often used for acute conditions, while higher potencies may be considered for chronic or long-standing issues.
Previous Response to Potencies:
- The patient’s response to previous homeopathic treatments helps guide the choice of potency. If a particular potency has been effective in the past, it may be repeated or adjusted as needed.
Vital Force and Susceptibility:
- Homeopathy views illness as a disturbance in the vital force. The practitioner assesses the patient’s overall vitality and susceptibility to determine the appropriate potency.
Aggravation or Amelioration:
- The direction of the symptom response (aggravation or amelioration) after taking a remedy can influence the choice of potency.
Miasmatic Considerations:
- In classical homeopathy, the concept of miasms (inherited disease tendencies) is considered. The practitioner take this into account when selecting the potency.
Practitioner Experience:
- The experience and preference of the homeopathic practitioner play a role. Some practitioners may have success with certain potencies based on their clinical experience.
SAFETY INFORMATION
- Do not exceed the recommended dose by physician
- Keep out of the reach of children
- Store in a cool dry place away from direct sunlight
- Maintain half an hour gap between food/drink/any other medicines and homoeopathic medicine
- Avoid any strong smell in the mouth while taking medicine e.g. camphor, garlic, onion, coffee, hing
Medicine images use for reference only selection of homeopathic medicine depends on the individual’s specific symptoms and overall constitution. Moreover, homeopathy is a holistic system of medicine that treats the individual as a whole. In addition to addressing the physical symptoms, it takes into account the emotional and mental state of the person. Consequently, it’s crucial to consult with a qualified homeopathic practitioner for personalized treatment.
