A great medicine for whooping cough, best in lower dilutions from 1x to 3x. Suffocative feeling, asthmatic paroxysms, spasmodic cough; violent cough seems life-threatening. Child must be raised up, turns blue (cyanosed), cannot exhale. Mucus rales in upper chest. Patient wants to bathe in ice cold water.

Mind: Excited, full of fancies. Cannot sleep or work.

Eyes: Pain from overexertion; blur; can’t distinguish letters; conjunctiva red; eyes hot and painful (conjunctivitis).

Mouth: Painful jerks in the root of the teeth. Bloated face. Coppery taste, like after eating onions.

Respiratory: Sudden contraction of the glottis (laryngismus), when drinking or talking. Food goes down the wrong way. False croup; cannot exhale. Spasmodic and whooping cough. Few paroxysms during daytime, many at night, with vomiting after eating. Asthma, like inhaling sulfur; cough from talking; hollow, deep, with rawness, hoarseness, and chest pain. Violent spasmodic cough, worse at night.

Sleep: Wakes at night with a rush of blood to lower legs. Vivid dreams of water, fire, etc.

Dose: First to third potency. Has a very short action.
