Arg-n, exhibits pronounced neurotic effects, manifesting various symptoms in the brain and spine that suggest its homeopathic application. It induces a state of incoordination, loss of control, and imbalance both mentally and physically, accompanied by trembling in affected areas. Additionally, it acts as an irritant to mucous membranes, leading to severe inflammation of the throat and marked gastroenteritis. Key symptoms include a strong craving for sweets, sharp splinter-like pains, and abundant mucopurulent discharge from inflamed and ulcerated mucous membranes. Sensations of expansion and other perceptual errors are also notable. It is particularly effective in individuals with withered and dried-up constitutions, especially those subjected to prolonged mental exertion. Head-related symptoms often guide the choice of this remedy, with pains that gradually intensify and diminish. Notably, it is associated with a prematurely aged appearance and explosive belching, especially in individuals with neurotic tendencies. Upper abdominal issues resulting from excessive mental strain, as well as conditions like paraplegia, myelitis, and disseminated sclerosis of the brain and spinal cord, are within its sphere of action. Heat intolerance and a sensation of sudden pinching are characteristic. Moreover, it destroys red blood corpuscles, leading to anemia.

Mind: Fearful and nervous, with an inclination to leap from heights. Melancholic disposition, anticipating severe illness. Time perception altered, with slow passage of time. Weak memory and perceptual errors. Impulsive behavior, desiring rapid action. Unusual fears and anxieties stemming from irrational motives.

Head: Headache accompanied by coldness and tremors. Emotional disturbances trigger hemi-cranial attacks. Migraines with a sensation of head bones separating. Feeling of brain fatigue, accompanied by general weakness and tremors. Headache worsens with mental exertion and dancing. Vertigo, buzzing in the ears, and other nervous symptoms. Aching in the forehead, with pressure providing relief. Scalp itching.

Eyes: Swollen and red inner canthi. Vision disturbances with spots and blurred vision. Photophobia in warm environments. Purulent inflammation of the eyes, with significant swelling and discharge. Chronic eyelid ulceration and difficulty maintaining steady eye gaze. Eye strain exacerbated by sewing and relieved by closure or pressure. Fatigued and achy eyes.

Nose: Loss of smell, itching, and septum ulcers. Cold-like symptoms with chilliness, tearing, and headache.

Face: Pale, sunken appearance with a bluish tint. Aged look with tight skin over bones.

Mouth: Sensitive and bleeding gums. Tongue with prominent papillae and painful tip. Metallic taste and canker sores.

Throat: Excessive mucus causes throat irritation. Raw, rough, and splinter-like sensation on swallowing. Dark red throat with catarrh in smokers.

Stomach: Belching accompanies gastric issues. Nausea, vomiting of mucus, and flatulence. Painful stomach swelling, ulcers, and craving for sweets. Gastritis in heavy drinkers. Ulcerative pains on the left side of the abdomen.

Abdomen: Colic with bloating. Left-sided stomach pain below the ribs.

Stool: Watery, noisy stools with green color and offensive odor. Diarrhea after eating, emotional stress, and with flatulence. Anal itching.

Urinary: Unconscious urine passage, inflamed urethra, scanty and dark urine, and divided stream. Early gonorrhea symptoms with painful urination and discharge.

Male: Erectile dysfunction, ulceration, decreased desire, and shriveled genitals.

Female: Gastric pain at the start of menses, chest muscle spasms, nocturnal orgasms, menopausal nervousness, profuse leucorrhea, and bleeding tendencies.

Respiratory: Cough triggered by high notes, chronic hoarseness, and suffocative cough. Chest tightness with palpitations and nocturnal angina.

Back: Severe spinal pain, sensitivity, and paraplegia.

Extremities: Unsteady walking, trembling, paralysis, and calf rigidity.

Sleep: Insomnia with vivid, frightening dreams.

Fever: Chills with nausea, sensitivity to warmth, and feeling suffocated when covered.

Skin: Brown, tense, and hard with irregular blotches.

Modalities: Aggravated by warmth, nighttime, cold food, sweets, eating, emotional stress, and left side; relieved by belching, fresh air, cold, and pressure.

Relationships: Nat-m as an antidote. Similar to Ars., Merc., Phos., and Puls. Comparable to Argentum cyanatum, iodatum, phosphoricum, and oxydatum. Protargol for various infections. 

Dose: Third to thirtieth potency, preferably as an aqueous solutions.
