Useful for congestion and atonic conditions of the uterus and its ligaments, accompanied by liver issues. Effective in chronic middle ear catarrh. Suitable for those with a flabby, debilitated constitution, experiencing morning hand swelling. Typical signs include phlegmatism, depression, and faintness.

Head: Vertigo with forehead pain. Sensation of swimming, as if the top of the head is floating away. Clot-forming nosebleeds.

Mouth: Sore spots along the tongue and throat sides, sore gums, swollen tongue with aphthous ulcers. Putrid taste, furred, large, flabby, and indented tongue. Cough with loss of voice.

Stomach: Drowsiness after meals.

Urinary: Dark urine with albumen and casts, diffuse nephritis, severe pain in the lumbosacral region.

Female: Sensation of the uterus being pushed up when sitting, feels as if it opens and shuts. Severe metrorrhagia, leucorrhea with backache, passive bearing down sensation due to a heavy uterus. Uterus is heavy, sodden with a tendency to prolapse, subinvolution.

Extremities: Hands swollen every morning, extreme weakness in ankles and knees.

Compare: Aur-m-n., Calc., Sep., Heliotropium peruvianum (useful for uterine displacement with active bearing down sensation and aphonia; membranous dysmenorrhea).
Antidotes: Puls., Guaj.

Dose: Fifteen to twenty drops of Labarraque’s solution in water. The third attenuation is made with dilute alcohol, and lower dilutions with water.
